Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association (KWCA) Unifying the wildlife protection movement for greater impact

Kenya's biodiverse ecosystems and wildlife, the backbone of its tourism industry, are under serious threat from human activity and climate change. While individual wildlife conservancies are proving highly effective in ecosystem protection and generating critical economic opportunities for local communities, their impact has been hampered by a lack of political recognition and national coordination. KWCA is a landowner-led national membership organisation representing community and private conservancies across Kenya, working with landowners and regional associations to create an enabling environment for conservancies to deliver environmental and livelihood benefits. By giving landowners a unified voice and connecting them with key stakeholders, KWCA aims to catalyse the conservancy movement for the benefit of local communities, ecosystems and the climate.
