Listening, Learning, and Growing Together: 2025 Grantee Perception Report

LGT Venture Philanthropy partners with the Center for Effective Philanthropy every three years to gather anonymous feedback from its partner organisations through the Grantee Perception Report. The survey benchmarks LGT VP’s performance against global funders and provides valuable insights to help the organisation reflect, learn, and improve its partnership approach.

At LGT Venture Philanthropy, we believe that meaningful change starts with listening - especially to those closest to the work. Every three years, we partner with the Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) to conduct the Grantee Perception Report (GPR), giving our partner organizations the opportunity to provide candid, anonymous feedback and benchmarking our performance against a global cohort of funders.

This was the second time we ran the survey, and the insights shared are invaluable in helping us reflect, learn, and adapt how we show up as a partner.

It is encouraging to see that our partner organisations:

  • Value the multi-year unrestricted funding that we provide and is something that makes LGT VP unique compared to other funders.
  • See that LGT VP has a strong positive impact on organisations, with our teams having a solid understanding of our partner organisations and the challenges they face. Being an engaged funder has always been core to our way of working.
  • Have strong relationships with our teams, which we consider a testament to our trust-based approach.
  • Benefit from the value-add LGT VP provides beyond the grant - be it through the business expertise contributed through our Investment Managers and LGT Impact Fellows, or providing them access to our networks.

At the same time, the feedback also highlighted important areas where we can continue to grow, which we will reflect on over the coming months. These insights provide concrete direction on how we can refine our approach and deepen our partnerships.
