LGT Venture Philanthropy (LGT VP) is delighted to announce the follow-on partnership with Peepul, reinforcing a strong collaboration aimed at improving foundational literacy and numeracy outcomes in India's public education system. Peepul, an education non-profit working in close partnership with governments in Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, focuses on strengthening academic coaching and academic governance to improve learning outcomes at scale. Through its work in public school systems, Peepul has already reached millions of students and supported teachers and school leaders to adopt more engaging and effective classroom practices.
Over the past two years, LGT VP has supported Peepul in strengthening its strategy, monitoring and evaluation systems, and communications capacity. During this period, Peepul has demonstrated strong performance against its objectives and significantly expanded both its reach and organisational capabilities. Building on this momentum, Peepul has developed a new five year strategy to deepen foundational literacy and numeracy in early grades (Grades 1–3), expand into upper primary and middle grades (Grades 4–8), and scale its model across additional states while contributing to the national FLN agenda. Going forward, a key priority will be the establishment of a Centre of Academic Excellence, designed to codify Peepul's core academic model and ensure quality and consistency as the organisation expands. Additional support will strengthen measurement, evaluation, and learning systems, as well as leadership development across the organisation.
